Just spend a week of work and play around San Francisco with this, and it’s perfect for a small mirrorless camera, ipad 12.9”, book, notebook, headphones and all the stuff you want to hand on a trip like that. Feels really nicely made and I suspect this one is going to have many years and many miles around the world with me.

Bigger than I expected and firmly in the weekender rather than commuter category, this bag will swallow clothes, laptop, iPad, book, camera gear and whatever else you need for a short trip, whilst remaining compact enough to sling over your shoulder if you then go out for the day. The roll-top is an interesting way to keep the main section secure, whilst there are enough outside pockets for easy access to frequently used items. Quality so far appears impeccable and it looks rugged and smart at the same time. Very pleased with this purchase, complements my smaller Millican ‘Mark the field bag’ perfectly.

I’ve been looking for my perfect daypack for ages and truly think I have found it in Matthew - the best combination of style and practicality out there! Looking forward to properly trialling it when lockdown is over and we can get out!

The bag itself is a great short trip "Dad-bag" for an outdoorsy family and general daily use. Great pocket arrangement, hardwearing and environmentally conscious fabric and materials. The "burnt orange" Ember colour is just right. A nice departure from the normal blues black & greens, but not to lairy. And not something I could easily walk away from by mistake after taking the kids to the playpark.
Only two things I would change for personal preference - Put the key carabiner in the front outer zip so you don't have open up the whole bag for your keys, and add a Shoulder pad for the strap. Still a 5-star product though in my book.
